Through its Initiative Homme-Faune Sauvage (IHF), the Foundation extends a timely call to action, seeking proposals that will shape and improve the delicate balance between humans and the animal world. In 2025, the Initiative is open only to the whole of metropolitan France. The projects are expected to start in the first quarter of 2026.

Two distinct pathways allow flexible participation: one tailored for smaller scale ventures under 15,000 €, and another suited to larger undertakings up to 50,000 €, the latter expected to include a 40 % co-financing element. This tiered framework enables both grassroots initiatives and more ambitious collaborations to find their footing and secure essential support.

Applicants are encouraged to focus on areas such as agriculture, where adapting practices can safeguard livestock and crops; ecological corridors that preserve connections for species movement; outdoor sports reconciled with wildlife conservation; as well as public awareness—through campaigns, workshops, demonstrations, or expert forums—to demystify and endorse coexistence strategies. Importantly, the initiative warmly welcomes projects that span multiple stakeholders, from farmers and landowners to local authorities, researchers, conservationists, and community groups, fostering solutions that are not only impactful but also scalable and replicable.
