A Few Things to Know?

• This is a merit-based fellowship focused on your personal and professional growth - monthly financial aid is not provided by default.
• While this isn’t direct financial aid, critical funding is available to support volunteers who face serious financial hardship during the program.
• The Foundation covers all costs associated with attending educational activities.

Responsibilities

• Once you join the BH Futures Fellowship as a Junior Scholar in their Incubation Program, here is what’s expected of you:
  • Stay on Track Academically
    • Keep your grades up and complete all your coursework.
  • Be Active on Slack (their official channel for all internal communication)
    • Engage with their community, stay informed, and connect with other scholars and mentors.
  • Show Up to Onboarding
    • Join their intro sessions to kick off the scholarship year and meet your fellow scholars.
  • Attend Monthly Workshops and Futures Academy Events
    • Stay sharp by participating in monthly skills and knowledge sessions, both live and online. Join in on webinars, panels, or even podcasts to share your voice and learn from others.
  • Volunteer 100+ Hours
    • Give back by volunteering throughout the year — at least 50 hours should support BH Futures Foundation activities.
  • Be a Mentee
    • Join their mentoring program, learn actively from your mentor, respect your mentor’s time availability, and share short reflections on what you’ve learned.
  • Set Personal Goals
    • Define your development goals and check your progress regularly.
  • Be Part of Team-Building Events
    • Connect with your peers and build strong friendships through annual team-building experiences.
  • Drive a Passion Project
    • Work with your team to create and lead a meaningful project that makes a real impact.
  • Stay Professional
    • Act with integrity, show commitment, and represent the Foundation with pride.

Eligibility Criteria

• To be considered for the BH Futures Foundation Fellowship, make sure you:
  • Are a full-time Bachelor’s or Master’s student in Bosnia & Herzegovina, with at least one year left in your studies
  • Study in STEM or related fields — this includes Science, Engineering, IT, Business, Design, Marketing, and more
  • Can communicate in conversational English and have motivation to volunteer in their operational teams
  • Have Bosnia & Herzegovina citizenship and residency
  • Are honest in your application and ready to show proof if you’re shortlisted
