The SBI Foundation (SBIF) intends to engage non-profit organizations registered in India with relevant experience in the domain of Working with Women involved in Commercial Sex Work and Livelihood Intervention for women.

The purpose of this proposal is to invite potential grantees with a proven track record to implement Women Empowerment projects.

Scope of Work
  • Interventions under which proposals are invited:
    • Intervention 1: Working with Women involved in Commercial sex Work (Active sex workers, retired/aging sex workers and at-risk adolescents for commercial sexual exploitation)
    • Intervention 2: Income Generation of Women (with preference to SC, ST, Widows, Single, Landless, PwDs, BPL, Victims of Trafficking and sex Workers)
Funding Information
  • Intervention 1: Working with Women involved in Commercial sex work
    • Project Budget: 0.25 Cr. to 2 Cr.
  • Intervention 2: Livelihood intervention for women (with preference to SC, ST, Widows, Single, Landless, PwDs, BPL, Victims of Trafficking and Sex Workers)
    • Project Budget: 0.25 Cr. to 2 Cr.
Duration
  • Support period ranging from 2 to 3 years.
Geographic Focus
  • Intervention 1: Working with Women involved in Commercial sex work
    • Project Location: Pan India preferably red-light areas in Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Delhi, etc.
  • Intervention 2: Livelihood intervention for women (with preference to SC, ST, Widows, Single, Landless, PwDs, BPL, Victims of Trafficking and Sex Workers)
    • Project Location: Pan India preferably metropolitan cities, tier two cities, places with need for last mile connectivity
Eligibility Criteria
  • Proposals should be submitted in English language only.
  • Performance Track record: In accordance with the SBI Foundation, the agency will monitor the project's progress and submit monthly or quarterly reports to ensure effective end-to-end management and maintain a comprehensive track record.
  • The organisation must have a minimum of three years of experience in Income generation of Women (Livelihood) or Working with Women involved in Commercial Sex Work.
  • A self-declaration (on the letterhead) that the Grantee does not discriminate based on race, colour, religion, sex, national origin, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, genetic information, citizenship, veteran or marital status, or any other basis prohibited by law.
  • The Agency should not have been blacklisted by any Government Agency/ PSU/ Central/ State agency or under a declaration of ineligibility for fraudulent or corrupt practices. Documents to be submitted: Declaration from the current authorised signatory of the company.
