RFAs: Support Program for Implementing Chad’s National Action Plan on Women, Peace and Security
Section
The European Commission has launched a call for proposals under Action 62445, aimed at advancing the implementation of Chad’s National Action Plan for Resolution 1325 – Women, Peace and Security.
The programme focuses on strengthening the role of women in conflict prevention, resolution, and peacebuilding, in line with the global Women, Peace and Security agenda.
The overarching goal is to ensure women’s participation in building sustainable peace while addressing the impact of conflict and gender-based violence (GBV) on women and girls. The call is specifically designed to achieve two objectives: improving knowledge and effective application of national, regional, and international laws that protect the human rights of women and girls, and guaranteeing relief, recovery, and reintegration for women and girls affected by conflict and GBV, including displaced persons, returnees, refugees, and host communities.
To achieve these aims, the call prioritizes initiatives that strengthen awareness and application of legal protections, improve access to justice and survivor-centered conflict resolution, and enhance the capacities of local civil society organizations and women’s rights defenders, including those with disabilities. It also seeks to reinforce care and support services for survivors of GBV and expand women’s empowerment through access to economic opportunities, particularly in growth sectors.
A total of EUR 5.25 million has been allocated for this call, with individual grants ranging from EUR 4.75 million to EUR 5.25 million. Funding will support large-scale actions that deliver measurable impact in advancing women’s rights, access to justice, and socio-economic reintegration in Chad’s conflict-affected communities.
Eligibility is open to non-profit legal entities, including non-governmental organizations and international intergovernmental organizations, effectively established in an EU Member State or eligible partner country under the Neighbourhood, Development and International Cooperation Instrument – Global Europe. Applicants must be directly responsible for project management, active in advancing gender equality and women’s rights, and experienced in implementing initiatives under the Women, Peace and Security agenda.
By supporting organizations committed to gender equality, this programme aims to create stronger frameworks for protecting women and girls in Chad, while building their resilience and ensuring their active role in peacebuilding and recovery.
