The Regional Tech Hub Connect Grants supports practical, local initiatives that improve connectivity literacy in rural, regional, and remote Australia.

This is not just about digital skills, it’s about connectivity literacy, which is understanding mobile and internet services, knowing the right questions to ask, and feeling confident when things go wrong.

Funding Information
  • There are two types of funding available:
    • RTH Connect Grants – Up to $3,000
    • RTH Event Sponsorship – Up to $1,500
  • Projects must be delivered within six months of approval.
What can the grants be used for?
  • Funding can support a wide range of activities that build local knowledge and skills around phone and internet services, including:
    • Hosting community workshops or roadshows
    • Facilitating local training or information sessions
    • Producing simple, localised resources
    • Upskilling staff or volunteers in connectivity literacy
    • Promoting awareness of the Regional Tech Hub
    • Sponsoring events where connectivity information can be shared
Eligibility Criteria
  • Connect Grants are open to:
    • Not-for-profit organisations
    • Community groups
    • Regional service providers
    • Local councils
  • To be eligible, your organisation must be based in, or delivering services to, a rural, regional or remote area of Australia. You must also be a registered organisation. They are looking for groups with strong local connections and a good understanding of the community’s connectivity needs.
