The CHABAHIVA Trust is pleased to announce an open call for funding applications from Nonprofit Organisations (NPOs) and or Community-Based Organisations (CBOs) operating within South Africa.
This funding opportunity is designed to support impactful HIV/AIDS programmes that contribute to sustainable community development. This funding call is open exclusively to NPOs and CBOs based and operating in Gauteng, North West, Eastern Cape and KwaZulu Natal. All funded initiatives must align with their mission to combat the HIV/AIDS crisis through evidence-based programming and organisational strengthening.
Focus Areas
- Programme Focus Areas which focus on HIV prevention and care including:
- Prevention and/or treatment Programmes targeting key populations
- Community Health Workers initiatives
Funding Information
- Funding Amount: Up to ZAR 250,000 per organisation
- Funding Period: 6 months
Eligibility Criteria
- Registered NPO in South Africa, with preference to Youth-led organisations responding to health and wellness initiatives
- Actively operating in Gauteng, North West, KwaZulu Natal or Eastern Cape
- Organisation age: 2 – 5 years
- Clear programme plan for the funding period
- Commitment to advancing Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Wellbeing)

- Latest Annual Report
- Latest Audited Financial Statements
- Management Accounts (01 July 2024 – 30 June 2025)
- Valid NPO Registration Certificate
- Valid Tax Clearance Certificate
- List of Directors (with a 2-page CV for each)
- Organisations Constitution
