The Moray Climate Action Network is accepting applications for its small grant program to support local action on climate and nature.
Their aim is to help individuals and community groups develop practical, meaningful projects that benefit people and the planet. They welcome projects that reduce carbon emissions, protect or restore nature, raise awareness, or help build community resilience.
The Nature Restoration Fund, to help support projects that protect or enhance local biodiversity through nature conversation, regeneration or promotion.
Funding Information
- Working in partnership with Moray Council, they have a total of £17,500 available to distribute across Moray.
- There are two pots of funding:
- £10,000 for nature restoration
- £7,500 for climate-related action
Eligible Projects
- They are looking for small-scale projects that:
- Help restore or protect nature
- Reduce carbon emissions
- Raise awareness about climate change
- Encourage sustainable travel, growing, or food
- Build local resilience and community connections
Eligible Costs
- They can fund: items such as tools, materials, plants, equipment, venue hire, printing, or items essential to delivering your project.
Ineligible Costs
- They cannot fund: Political or religious campaigning, profit making/fundraising activities, alcohol
Eligibility Criteria
- These funds are designed for small community projects being delivered in Moray and will be accepted from a range of voluntary, 'not for profit' organisations including associations, groups and clubs, as well as being open to individuals.
- Individuals can apply for up to £200
- Constituted Community groups or organisations can apply for up to £2,000
