The Nature Restoration Fund, to help support projects that protect or enhance local biodiversity through nature conversation, regeneration or promotion.

Funding Information

• Working in partnership with Moray Council, they have a total of £17,500 available to distribute across Moray.
• There are two pots of funding:
  • £10,000 for nature restoration
  • £7,500 for climate-related action

Eligible Projects

• They are looking for small-scale projects that:
  • Help restore or protect nature
  • Reduce carbon emissions
  • Raise awareness about climate change
  • Encourage sustainable travel, growing, or food
  • Build local resilience and community connections

Eligible Costs

• They can fund: items such as tools, materials, plants, equipment, venue hire, printing, or items essential to delivering your project.

Ineligible Costs

• They cannot fund: Political or religious campaigning, profit making/fundraising activities, alcohol

Eligibility Criteria

• These funds are designed for small community projects being delivered in Moray and will be accepted from a range of voluntary, 'not for profit' organisations including associations, groups and clubs, as well as being open to individuals.
  • Individuals can apply for up to £200
  • Constituted Community groups or organisations can apply for up to £2,000
