Mascot Design Contest for PM-Surya Ghar-Muft Bijli Yojana (India)

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy in colloboration with MyGov invites citizens to submit entries for a Mascot Design Competition that embodies the vision of clean energy and solar empowerment under the PM-Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana.
A contest for a mascot design to promote rooftop solar power has been announced. The gratification for the contest is: 1st Prize: ₹10,000, 2nd Prize: ₹5,000, and 3rd Prize: ₹3,000.
The contest is open to all Indian citizens aged 14 years and above. The mascot should be an original character promoting rooftop solar power with optimism and relatability. Entries will only be accepted in .jpeg, .png, .ai, .cdr, .psd, or .pdf format. Each participant can submit only one design. Entries using artificial intelligence should be accompanied with a clear disclosure. The mascot should be unique, must not violate any intellectual property rights, and should not have been previously published elsewhere. Submissions must include a short note of 50-100 words explaining the concept behind the design and the name of the mascot.
The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy reserves the right to modify or adapt the winning mascot for its campaign, and all rights of the selected design will rest with the Ministry. The final judgment will be based on creativity, relevance to the theme, originality, and visual appeal. The Ministry will disburse the winning amount to the selected winner(s) after publishing the Winner Announcement Blog. The content must be original and should not violate any provision of the Indian Copyright Act, of 1957.
Entries not complying with the rules will be summarily rejected. The decision of the jury will be final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the same. Organizers are not liable for lost, late, incomplete, or technically flawed entries. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, organizers reserve the right to amend or withdraw the contest at any time, including the terms and conditions. The deadline for the application is 13 September 2025.
