Expected Results
  • Review, analyze, and adapt content, activities, and relevant information about the social, demographic, and cultural context of indigenous women artisans in Querétaro, as well as the results of the implementation of the "The Fashion Expressions" project in the first cohort, in order to establish appropriate and improved actions and strategies to implement in this second cohort.
  • Prepare a brief quantitative and qualitative diagnosis to characterize the social and demographic context and identify the level of basic knowledge (such as reading, writing, mathematics, and other relevant skills), and artisanal experiences (techniques, possible brand, business, and others) of the group of women artisans in the second cohort, in order to detect their learning needs and current strengths, and use this information to adapt and develop the tools, content, methodology, and activities for the implementation of the project.
  • Adapt, design, and implement a curriculum to strengthen capacities that enable women artisans to develop economic and bodily autonomy and exercise their rights, including sexual and reproductive rights and a life free from violence, incorporating sustainability knowledge and practices and considering their ancestral artisanal practices.
  • Design and implement a model of practice through mentoring and peer learning to strengthen the knowledge and techniques learned in textile management.
  • Design and establish with participating artisans a business model tailored to their needs and characteristics, enabling them to strengthen their business, financial, and administrative skills and contribute to their economic autonomy.
  • Identify and develop key interventions for the recognition of women artisans as part of the program, through the design and implementation of a comprehensive communications plan at the local, state, and national levels, in coordination with the UNFPA communications team and key partners.
