The Faversham Town Council is inviting applications for the Youth Grant Fund, designed to support local organisations that deliver services and opportunities benefiting the young people of the town.

The focus of the Youth Grant Fund is providing a service, enhancing the quality of life, and improving recreation and/or sports.

The Council awards grants to town-based youth organisations that can demonstrate a clear need for financial support. Assistance is given based on need, merit, and the contribution made to the youth of the community, with applications welcomed from community groups, social enterprises, trusts, and charities. Grants are strictly available to non-profit organisations and not to individuals.

Applicants must submit the official grant application form along with their most recent annual accounts. All proposals are reviewed by the Youth Working Group and then forwarded to the Community Committee for final consideration. Funding decisions are guided by adherence to the grant policy, the level of benefit for Faversham’s youth, evidence of match-funding, the sustainability of the project, and the extent of difference it will make in young people’s lives.

Funding is capped at £4,000 per financial year for any single organisation, whether through one or multiple applications. The grant cannot be used to cover general operating costs, political activities, national appeals, or projects that have already begun. All grants awarded are subject to monitoring and reporting requirements, with organisations expected to provide written evidence of how the funding was used and the benefits achieved.

The Council reserves the right to reclaim funds if they are not used for their stated purpose, or if the project is not completed within 12 months.
