Entries open for Practice and Action Projects (Hong Kong)
Section
The Environment and Conservation Fund (ECF) Committee is calling for applications under its 2025–26 Special Round for Practice and Action Projects, targeting innovative “Recycling Store Projects” aimed at promoting environmental sustainability in Hong Kong.
Applicant organizations are invited to submit their proposals. Proposals may be delivered either in paper form—by hand or post—or electronically via email, all of which should clearly specify “Practice and Action Projects (Recycling Store Projects)” to ensure proper processing.
To support applicants in preparing strong proposals, the ECF will host an online briefing session in Cantonese on 11 September 2025 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Interested parties must register by 5 September, after which login details and briefing materials will be shared. This session will cover project content, application procedures, and key considerations to guide applicants effectively.
Applicants should ensure their submissions are complete and compliant with the guidelines, as late or incomplete entries, or those that fail to follow the specified format, will not be considered. In cases of extreme weather—such as when a tropical cyclone or black rainstorm warning is in effect on the deadline day—the submission cut-off will be extended to the next working day to accommodate safety concerns.
Through this special call, the ECF aims to enable community-driven initiatives that revitalize waste pathways and transform environmental action into local recycling solutions. With support geared toward feasible projects, this is a timely opportunity for organizations to contribute to Hong Kong’s resource conservation and waste reduction efforts.
