The United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) is seeking to build a pool of strategic partners capable of supporting the implementation of its interventions, both in emergency situations and as part of its regular programs, including the areas of health, education, child protection, water, sanitation, and hygiene, as well as nutrition and community development.

Expected Results
  • Health
    • Output1. 1: By 2026, services and communities central and decentralized have of tools and mechanisms to put in implementation of protocols and quality standards​ in health care for pregnant women and children, including newborns and adolescents
    • Output 1.2: By 2026, health services and health workers are equipped to deliver packages​ integrated from the first 1000 days to the most disadvantaged children and pregnant women
    • Output1. 3: By 2026, local councils, communities, parents and carers have the capacity strengthened to promote demand and use of health services during the first 1000 days
    • Result 1.4: By 2026, pregnant and breastfeeding women as well as children, especially the most vulnerable, have access to a quality health care package to prevent and eliminate mother -to-child transmission of HIV during the first 1000 days

    • Output 2.2: Women, children – girls and boys, including adolescents –, men and their communities have a better knowledge of and support for essential nutritional practices for the prevention of all forms of malnutrition
    • Output 2.3: The authorities National, regional and local authorities have strengthened their capacities for planning, monitoring, coordination and resource mobilization for nutrition interventions multisectoral
  • Birth registration
    • Output 4.1: By 2026, agencies governmental have increased capacity to provide free services routine birth registration and to produce reliable vital statistics
Eligibility Criteria
  • This call for expressions of interest is open to all Civil Society Organizations: Local or national NGOs or associations or foundations demonstrating their integrity and complying with the values and ethical and deontological standards of the United Nations, including the prevention and protection against sexual abuse and exploitation (PSEA).
  • To this end, organizations should develop an SEA policy in line with the United Nations Secretary-General's Bulletin ST/SGG/2003/13 on the Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse, as well as UNICEF's requirements in this regard However, organizations will have, among other preventive measures:
    • a zero-tolerance policy on SEA,
    • a clear strategy for regular and mandatory staff training on SEA,
    • a community feedback mechanism for workers and community members. This will develop specific procedures for handling SEA allegations in a safe and confidential manner, with a survivor-centered and child-sensitive approach, and
    • a community communication strategy to inform beneficiaries of prohibited behaviors and the functioning of the reporting mechanism.

  • Only legally constituted legal entities are invited to submit their applications to this expression of interest demonstrating their operational capabilities and experience in implementing development and/or emergency projects according to the lot(s) and region(s) of submission.
