CFPs: Assistance for Communities in Emergency Due to Confinement in the Context of Armed Conflict (Colombia)
Section
The World Food Programme (WFP) in Colombia invites proposals for the implementation of food assistance activities in the municipality of Remedios, Antioquia, aimed at supporting communities affected by confinement as a result of the armed conflict.
Focus Areas: Food Security, Food assistance.
The project will continue the provision of individual food assistance through the delivery of the In-Kind food basket (7.81 kg per person) in the rural areas of Caño Tigre, Dos Quebradas, Puerto Nuevo Ité, and Tamar Bajo. The selected cooperating partner (CP) will be responsible for the reception of food from WFP Colombia and its distribution to 347 beneficiaries, ensuring monthly deliveries every 30 days. The CP will also manage logistics such as storage, loading/unloading, kit assembly, and transport to distribution points. Additional responsibilities include daily and monthly reporting, maintaining ongoing communication with communities, sharing strategic project information, and identifying and reporting protection cases.
The partner will also carry out participant identification, targeting, and registration, based on an initial list provided by WFP, and ensure the process meets the organization’s protection standards. Community engagement will be integrated into all project stages, with the use of WFP’s Community Feedback Mechanism (CFM) to address potential challenges promptly. Measures for the Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) will be implemented through designated focal points, awareness-raising, and effective reporting mechanisms.
