The United Nations Children's Fund Zimbabwe is inviting Expressions of Interest from eligible national and international Non-Governmental Organizations and Civil Society Organizations legally registered to operate in Zimbabwe.

- Prevention of and response to crime/violence
Expected Outcomes
- Organizations should clearly indicate their approach to specific outcome(s) their EOI addresses:
- Government and service providers provide enhanced reception, reintegration and protection and wellbeing of UASC.
- Institutions demonstrate improved systems in the protection of UASC.
- Households of UASC are provided with social protection and livelihoods support and have enhanced coping capacities.
- Government and stakeholders make enhanced use of evidence and knowledge for programming and advocacy and demonstrate improved coordination and collaboration.
Geographical Focus
- The programme primarily targets key border points: Beitbridge, Plumtree, and Chirundu. Interventions may also extend to high migrant-sending or transit districts such as (but not limited to) Chiredzi, Chipinge, Bulawayo, Mwenezi, Mberengwa, Tsholotsho, Bikita, and Chivi.
Target Population
- The primary target group is Unaccompanied Minors and Separated Children (UASC) in Zimbabwe, including those in transit, at borders, returned/reunified, or at risk of unsafe migration. Secondary beneficiaries include parents/caregivers, families, community members, government officials, social service workforce, and transporters.
Eligibility Criteria
- Interested organizations must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Be a non-governmental organization (NGO) or civil society organization (CSO) legally registered to operate in Zimbabwe. Proof of registration is required.
- Demonstrated technical expertise and proven track record (minimum 3-5 years) in implementing programmes related to at least one of the following areas: Child Protection (including case management, alternative care, MHPSS), Migration Management (especially UASC/CoM), Prevention and Response to GBV/VAC/Trafficking, Community-based Child Protection, Livelihoods and Economic Strengthening for vulnerable households, Civil Registration Support, Monitoring & Evaluation.
- Experience working directly with vulnerable children, particularly UASC or CoM, is highly desirable.
- Strong operational presence, established networks, and experience working in the proposed geographic target areas is an advantage.
- Demonstrated capacity for sound financial management, monitoring, and reporting. (Experience managing UN or major donor funds is an asset).
- Robust internal policies and procedures on Child Safeguarding and Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), and commitment to upholding human rights and gender equality principles.
