The Royal Society for Protection of Nature, in partnership with the Bhutan National Commission for UNESCO (Bhutan NatCom) under the Ministry of Education and Skills Development (MoESD), is pleased to invite applications for the 2025 Small Study Grants Program.

This initiative aims to empower selected schools with financial support to conduct field-based studies, involve local communities, and implement hands-on climate action projects throughout Bhutan.

Objectives
  • This grant supports schools with UNESCO Clubs, ASPnet Schools, or Nature Clubs in developing innovative solutions to address local environmental challenges.
  • The program encourages students to:
    • Identify pressing environmental issues in their communities.
    • Document the impacts on local biodiversity and climate.
    • Conduct biodiversity surveys with student and stakeholder participation.
    • Propose nature-positive solutions using STEM-based approaches.

Funding Information
  • Grant Amount: Nu. 30,000 per school.
Eligibility Criteria
  • The eligible institutions to apply for the grant are schools with an active UNESCO Club, ASPnet-affiliated schools, and schools with a registered Nature Club.
