Applications open for Levi Lassen Foundation Grants for NGOs (Israel)
Section
The Levi Lassen Foundation is now accepting applications from NGOs in Israel for grants that support initiatives advancing Ethiopian-Israeli youth or Dutch-affiliated organizations.
The grant award categories are Ethiopian-Israelis (ages 15 to 30): the applicant must be committed to advancing this cause, and Dutch-affiliated organizations in Israel, especially those that provide support for elderly immigrants from Holland, such as nursing homes.
There are around 50,000 young people between the ages of 15-30 in the Ethiopian-Israeli community. Since the early stages of immigration, Ethiopian-Israelis have constituted a driving force for change and integration. Yet, they fight daily for their voices to be heard and for their right to be considered equal among equals within their community and Israeli society. The status of these young people will have a decisive influence on the future success of their communities. Activities and programs that educate and empower these young people serve as a gateway to social mobility for the entire Ethiopian-Israeli community.
The Levi Lassen Foundation will consider applications from NGOs that meet specific criteria. Eligible organizations include those advancing young Ethiopian-Israeli women and men aged 15-30, as well as Dutch-affiliated organizations in Israel providing care for elderly immigrants from Holland. Projects must align with the vision and mission of the applying NGO, be grassroots in nature, and demonstrate practical, down-to-earth impact.
Funding is available for up to 15,000 Euros per year, with grants awarded for one year. NGOs may apply for renewal funding if they provide an approved evaluation report. Grants may cover no more than 50% of the total costs of the proposed project. Applicants must demonstrate that their organization is stable, effective, creative, and well-managed, with sound financial standing and Nihul Takin. Startup NGOs without Nihul Takin may also apply. Only one grant request can be submitted per year, and if approved, the organization may reapply in the following year.
