$1000 to $10,000

Applications are now being accepted for the 2025 Senior Care Micro Grants program, as offered through the Greater Peterborough Health Services Foundation (GPHSF).

This funding opportunity is aimed at community and not-for-profit organizations, including medical organizations, that are either currently offering or planning to launch programs and services within the City or County of Peterborough, Hiawatha First Nation, or Curve Lake First Nation.

Each grant provides up to $5,000 in funding, with a total of $10,000 available across all approved projects. Eligible projects must be general in scope, designed to benefit as many people as possible, and must be completed within one year of approval. Exceptions may be considered if an extension is granted by the Foundation. The funding can be used to support new initiatives or to enhance existing projects.

Projects should include a clear timeline and a detailed budget. Areas of focus for the grants include research, acquisition of equipment, nutrition support, physical activity programs, and mental health services—all with a focus on senior care.

Priority will be given to proposals that demonstrate a lasting impact on the community, address emerging needs, and improve the quality of life for seniors. Organizations must be not-for-profit and possess a valid charitable registration number to be eligible.

This grant program is a valuable opportunity for local groups to advance senior wellness and support aging populations through thoughtful, inclusive, and impactful programming.
