Applications open for Her Voice Fund
Section
The Her Voice Fund, launched by Womankind Worldwide, is offering flexible financial support to women’s rights and feminist organizations and activists in the Global South.
The initiative aims to amplify intersectional voices often excluded from decision-making spaces, enabling advocates to influence policies at local, national, regional, and international levels.
Under this fund, feminist organizations and informal activist groups working with marginalized women—such as those with disabilities, LGBTQ+ individuals, young women, and incarcerated women—can apply for grants tailored to foster meaningful advocacy. These grants recognize how traditional funding often overlooks grassroots-led policy influence, particularly from communities facing intersecting discrimination.
There are two grant streams. Registered feminist organizations can apply for up to £40,000 to support their work over 24 months, while informal groups with the right focus and mission may receive up to £20,000 for the same period. Applications must describe how they advance feminist agendas, tackle systemic inequality, and strengthen movement-building through inclusive collaboration.
Funding is available to organizations based in Ethiopia, Kenya, Nepal, Uganda, or Zimbabwe, as well as informal groups that align with feminist values.
The Her Voice Fund represents a powerful opportunity for feminist changemakers to gain financial support, elevate marginalized voices, and drive systemic transformation through advocacy and collaborative action.
