Embassy of the Czech Republic in New Delhi: Small Scale Projects
Section
The Embassy of the Czech Republic in New Delhi has announced a call for proposals for Small Scale Projects (SSPs) for the year 2026.
These projects aim to foster positive change within the framework of the Czech Republic's Development Cooperation. Eligible organizations from Nepal, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives are invited to apply for funding.
SSPs are a principal instrument of bilateral development cooperation, carried out by local stakeholders in collaboration with the Embassy. The Embassy has identified priority areas and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for 2026, including good democratic governance (SDG 16), sustainable management of natural resources (SDGs 6 and 13), and agriculture and rural development (SDGs 2 and 15).
To be eligible, implementing partners must be local entities with legal subjectivity in the country of project implementation, including a valid permit to receive foreign funding. The organization should be a non-governmental organization (NGO), a non-profit organization, a civil society organization (CSO), a social business, or a foundation. Funding cannot be claimed by individuals, political parties, universities, or state institutions.
The project must be implemented from April 2026 to October 2026. The proposed budget for the financial contribution must range from 200,000 CZK to 500,000 CZK. Co-financing from other sources is optional but desirable. The project should be effective and economical, with all receipts documented. Total costs for salaries, subsistence allowances, accommodation, travel, and eventual insurance and vaccination of experts must not exceed 25% of the project's total costs.
Each organization may apply for funding for several projects, but only one project per applicant may be supported from the funds of the Development Cooperation of the Czech Republic. Tangible assets of the project must be marked with the logo of Czech development cooperation, and for intangible assets, it is necessary to mention the financial support received.
Applications must include a filled identification form in English, signed and stamped by the organization, a verified copy of a document certifying the applicant's legal subjectivity, a verified letter from the organization's management or board stating the authority of the signatory, and a valid permit to receive foreign funding.
