TIH IIT Bombay CHANAKYA Fellowship Program (India)

The TIH IIT Bombay is inviting applications for its CHANAKYA Fellowship Program to focus on human resource development.
This program provides an opportunity for faculty to form a group of students from various academic levels (UG and PG) to work on a project in the areas of IoT. The project is proposed by the faculty and the students are a part of that team. The program supports applications in the areas of Agriculture, Healthcare, Fintech Edge Computing, and Industrial IoT Retail.
Undergraduate students can receive a fellowship for up to 10 months. This includes a monthly fellowship of INR 10,000 and a maximum of INR 20,000 per student for consumables and contingency.
Postgraduate students can receive a fellowship for up to 2 years. This includes a monthly fellowship of INR 12,400 and a maximum of INR 50,000 per student per year for consumables and contingency.
For undergraduate students, those of any discipline of engineering/science are eligible. They should have completed the first or second year and have at least 10 months left in their course at the time of sanction. Students must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) /Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) of 6.0 on the scale of 0-10, or a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate, till the immediate previous semester/year, at the time of the start of the fellowship. They should not be receiving any other government-funded scholarship or grants during the fellowship period.
For postgraduate students, those admitted to a PG program in CPS or related areas at IITs, NITs, and other AICTE/UGC approved institutions and having a valid GATE/JAM score are eligible. Dual degree students from IITs without a GATE score are also eligible. The student should have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA)/ Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) of 6.0 on the scale of 0-10 or a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate, till the immediate previous semester/year/degree, at the time of the start of the fellowship. They should not be receiving any other government-funded fellowship or grants during the period of the fellowship.
To be considered for the program, a faculty mentor or supervisor must submit the application on behalf of their team. The application package must include a project proposal in the prescribed format, an Executive Summary, and a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their institute. The last date to apply for this opportunity is September 28, 2025, at 6:00 pm IST.
