Call for Applications: Family Focus Programme 2025-26 (UK)
Section
The Family Focus programme for 2025/26, led by the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust, presents an exciting opportunity for organisations to pioneer initiatives that support the often underrepresented family members of wounded, injured, or sick serving personnel and veterans.
Grants ranging from £50,000 to £100,000 are available, offering a substantial foundation for projects lasting between twelve and eighteen months.
This initiative is particularly timely for registered charities, community interest companies, local authorities, and NHS organisations hoping to innovate in this space. Its design invites applicants to pilot fresh ideas, refine previous successes, or scale up newer services that have been developed in recent years—so long as these endeavours fall outside of an organisation’s core operations.
Organisations applying to this programme can tailor their efforts to one or several desired outcomes. Whether the aim is to enhance access to vital information, advice, and guidance; to reduce isolation and build resilience; or to boost confidence and skills for employment and volunteering, each approach is treated with equal consideration. There’s a genuine openness to diversity in the types of interventions supported, which encourages creativity and sensitivity to emerging family needs.
While applications are encouraged from specialist organisations, this programme also warmly welcomes applicants less familiar with Armed Forces communities, provided they deliver in partnership with those who do have recent, substantial experience. The emphasis on collaboration is a deliberate one, aiming to foster trust and ensure that support truly resonates with those it seeks to help.
Funds cannot be used for direct grants to individuals or families, a safeguard designed to ensure funded projects create systemic benefits, rather than isolated acts of assistance. Applicants are encouraged to ground their applications in tangible service delivery and measurable impact, to demonstrate how their activities will make a real difference during the funding period.
Decisions are expected before the end of December 2025, allowing for planning through the winter and the potential to launch impactful initiatives in the new year.
This programme offers a meaningful window for organisations to enrich the lives of the families who support their serving and veteran communities—by helping them feel less isolated, better informed, more resilient, and equipped with the tools to thrive in both personal and work lives.
