$1000 to $10,000

The City of Greater Geelong has opened applications for the 2025–26 Community Equipment Grants, supporting community groups and not-for-profit organisations with the cost of small equipment purchases that strengthen service delivery and community programs.

Focus Areas: Promote inclusion, create positive health and wellbeing in the community, enhance the natural environment.

The grants are designed to help eligible incorporated not-for-profit organisations, unincorporated groups with an auspice, and registered charitable organisations purchase equipment that benefits their operations and the wider community. Examples of eligible items include sporting gear, office equipment, kitchen appliances, general community use items, gardening tools, and small-scale agricultural equipment. Applicants can request up to $2,000, with a total funding pool of $60,000 available for the program. Applications are competitive, and priority may be given to organisations that have not received funding from this grant in the previous year and those that do not receive income from gambling activities.

Projects must begin after applicants receive notification of their funding outcome and complete within 12 months of that date. All purchases must remain the property of the applicant organisation and be located within the City of Greater Geelong. Applicants are required to provide supporting documentation such as quotes, incorporation certificates, or auspice agreements, along with a clear budget and letters of support if applicable.
