City of Greater Geelong: Environmental Sustainability Grants (Australia)

The City of Greater Geelong is inviting applications for the 2025-26 Environmental Sustainability Grants to support projects that deliver environmental benefits and build community capacity in environmental sustainability.
There is a total grant pool of $70,000 available. Capital works – applicants may ask for up to $10,000. Projects – applicants may ask for up to $10,000. The program focuses on supporting initiatives that improve biodiversity, reduce waste, conserve water, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and build community awareness and skills in environmental sustainability.
Projects should be ready to proceed, demonstrate clear environmental benefits, and show evidence of strong community support. Eligible applicants include not-for-profit organisations, incorporated community groups, and schools located within the City of Greater Geelong.
Funded activities may include habitat restoration, tree planting, community education campaigns, installation of water or energy-saving infrastructure, and other actions that support Council’s environmental priorities. Applications should clearly outline project goals, deliverables, timelines, and a realistic budget plan.
