Deadline Date

Donor Agency
Campus France
Grant Size
$1000 to $10,000

The Campus France is currently accepting applications for its Peridot Program to develop scientific and technological exchanges of excellence between French and Pakistani research laboratories, by promoting new cooperation and the participation of young researchers and doctoral students.

Priority Areas
  • Three priority areas have been identified for the 12th call for applications:
    • Health
    • Renewable energy, agriculture and food security
    • Economy and climate change
Funding Information
  • Subsistence allowances in Pakistan for French researchers: 125 EUR/day for stays of less than or equal to ten days (researchers) and 60 EUR per day for stays of more than 10 days (doctoral students);
  • Travel to Pakistan for French researchers: maximum amount €1,500 return.
Eligibility Criteria
  • The call for applications is open to researchers working in research laboratories attached to higher education establishments or research organizations.
  • Only applications submitted jointly by partner researchers to the program's responsible authorities in their respective countries will be considered admissible. French researchers must check with their partner.
  • Please note!  Before applying, you should ensure that your institution authorizes professional missions to Pakistan (a letter from the embassy security officer may be requested to support mission application files in the event of selection). The French party will therefore attach to their application file an authorization in principle from the hierarchical manager authorizing the trip to Pakistan.
Evaluation Criteria
  • Project evaluation criteria:
    • Scientific quality of the project and the teams;
    • Active participation of young researchers, in particular doctoral or post-doctoral students;
    • Interest in cooperation and complementarity between French and Pakistani teams;
    • Reciprocity (missions both in the France->Pakistan direction and in the Pakistan->France direction)
    • Prospects for structuring or promoting the project at the end of PHC funding. Network projects with a European outlook in particular will be considered a priority.
Selection Criteria
  • Eligible projects are subject to separate scientific evaluations by each of the two parties. The authorities of both countries then meet to put their evaluations into perspective and jointly decide on the support granted to the selected projects.
  • For the French part, the Delegation for European and International Affairs (DAEI) of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR) ensures the scientific evaluation of the files.
