The Campus France is pleased to announce its LINFA Program to develop scientific and technological exchanges of excellence between research laboratories of the two scientific communities, by promoting new cooperation.
The PHC is aimed at public or private research laboratories affiliated with higher education institutions, research organizations, or companies.
Funding Information
- Funding is awarded annually for two consecutive years. It cannot exceed €4,600/year. It must be used between January 1 and December 31 of the year in question and cannot be carried over to the following year.
- The duration of the workshops is one year. Their funding cannot exceed €14,000.
Costs Covered
- It only covers the cost of mobility between the two countries or territories for researchers involved in the program.
Eligible Expenses
- The resources granted by France finance the workshops organized in France and cover:
- Travel for Macanese participants coming exclusively from Macao: reimbursement of actual costs up to a limit of €1,400 per round trip between Macao and France;
- Their accommodation allowances: €125/day;
- Organizational costs relating to the workshop (room rental, printing of documents, etc.)
Eligibility Criteria
- The call for applications is open to researchers working in research laboratories attached to higher education establishments or research organizations.
- Companies can participate in the project, as long as they are associated with an academic partner.
- Projects that have already received support under this program are not eligible for re-application immediately after their completion. New collaborations will be given priority in all cases.
- Only applications submitted jointly by partner researchers to the program's responsible authorities in their respective countries or territories will be considered admissible. Researchers on the French team must check with their partner to ensure this.
Selection Criteria
- In addition to scientific excellence, the main assessment criteria are as follows:
- The competence of the French team to carry out the project,
- The quality of French infrastructure,
- The new nature of cooperation,
- The need for the French team to work with the prospective foreign partner,
- The complementarity of the teams,
- The mutual transfer of skills,
- The foreseeable scientific or industrial repercussions,
- The participation of doctoral students and/or young scientists in mobility.
Evaluation Criteria
- Scientific quality of the project and the teams;
- Active participation of young researchers, particularly doctoral or post-doctoral students;
- Interest in cooperation and complementarity between French and foreign teams;
- Prospects for structuring or promoting the project. Network projects with a European focus in particular will be considered a priority. Researchers thus have the opportunity to submit an application within the framework of another PHC, on the same research theme.
Application Requirements
- Applications can be submitted in French or English. The title must be indicated in both French and English.
