The Cornwall Community Foundation (CCF), in partnership with the Sedel-Collings Foundation is pleased offer grants to community-facing charitable and volunteer organisations working to safeguard and strengthen the collective wellbeing of their staff, volunteers and trustees.

The Sedel-Collings Foundation’s “Support the Supporters Fund” aims to help the individual and collective wellbeing of VCSE staff and volunteers, preventing burnout and ensuring frontline workers can thrive in their roles.

Funding Information
  • Grant value: Grants from £500 to £5,000 are available.
Eligible Activities
  • They are particularly interested in funding activity that is:
    • New, creative or pilot approaches that are over and above what is normally available that will enhance staff/volunteer wellbeing.
    • Activity led or informed by staff groups/peers.
    • Learning and development activities that will enhance staff wellbeing, understanding, and may be embedded in the working environment/practice in the long-term.
    • Imaginative collaboration between organisations, demonstrating the sharing of resources or expertise which encourages staff/volunteer wellbeing.
Eligibility Criteria
  • Charitable and volunteer organisations who assist people facing serious challenges, to help these organisations protect and enhance the wellbeing of their staff, volunteers, and trustees can apply.
  • They support not-for-profit:
    • local charities
    • community and voluntary groups
    • social enterprises
  • You don’t need to be a registered charity but your activities must be considered charitable.
Ineligibility Criteria
  • They cannot fund:
    • Commercial profit-making organisations
    • Statutory/public sector organisations such as health authorities, schools, hospitals, parish and town councils
    • Contributions to an endowment, payment of deficit funding or repayment of loans
    • Grant making organisations or bodies who fundraise or distribute grants on behalf of other organisations
    • Retrospective grants
