Grant Size
$1000 to $10,000
The Fat Beehive Foundation awards small grants to help charities improve their digital presence.
Priorities for support
- The Trustees are particularly keen to support traditionally hard-to-fund organisations, such as those supporting prisoners, refugees, or disadvantaged youth.
Funding Information
- They award grants of up to £2,500.
Eligibility Criteria
- You must be a UK registered charity.
- You must be a small charity (income less than £1 million).
- You must have a clear, defined goal for their digital presence (fundraising, campaigning, providing information etc.)
- You must be able to commit to supporting the project with staff or volunteer time and resources.
- You must agree to include Funded by the Fat Beehive Foundation on any work funded, in part or full, by the Fat Beehive Foundation for three years from time project is publicly launched.
- Agree to commence work on the project within three months of being awarded a grant.
- The grant should not be used to solely cover core digital costs such as hosting and support, staff digital training or digital staff salaries.
Ineligibility Criteria
- To help them focus the impact, there are a few things they don’t fund:
- General software or hardware procurement – such as laptops, servers or licences not tied to a digital project
- Organisations without the capacity to deliver – they want the funding to have a meaningful impact, so they prioritise charities with the internal resources to see a digital project through
- Core costs or staff salaries – they recognise their importance, but the focus is on hard-to-fund digital spend that other funders often won’t cover
- Charities working with Fat Beehive Ltd – to avoid conflicts of interest, they don’t fund organisations that currently use or intend to use Fat Beehive Ltd’s services
