The UN Women is accepting applications for Recruitment of a national human rights CSO to transform patriarchal masculinities in youth.
Call for proposals to establish a partnership with a national CSO working on human rights to develop and implement initiatives and actions aimed at young people and designed to transform masculinities and patriarchal social norms in favor of a more equitable sharing of unpaid care work and the economic empowerment of women and girls.
In Morocco, the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication, and more specifically the Youth and Children's and Women's Affairs Departments, is responsible for preparing and implementing government policy in the field of youth, children, and the advancement of women. To this end, it is responsible for, among other things, the following missions:
- Improving the status of youth, children, and women's affairs;
- Supporting youth and children's associations and organizations, as well as coordinating and monitoring their activities;
- Developing educational and entertainment programs within institutions under the Youth Department, based on the needs and aspirations of young people;
- Contributing to the protection of children and young people from misbehavior;
- Monitoring and supervising institutions for children, youth, and women's affairs under the Youth Department;
- Prepare and monitor projects to integrate young people into human development.
- Oversee the preparation and implementation of national citizenship education programs for young people;
- Develop support and education programs for children in summer camps and youth clubs;
- Contribute to the education of children, young people, and girls.
Funding Information
- The budget range for this proposal should be [1 000 000 à 1 250 000 MAD (Min. – Max)].
Eligibility Criteria
- UN Women invites proposals from Civilian Security Organizations (CSOs). Women's organizations or entities are strongly encouraged to apply.
- The organization has at least 3 years of experience in the field of promoting women's human rights and gender equality, including involving men and young people.
- The organization has at least 1 experience with local communities and has a proven track record in community engagement initiatives and projects.
- The organization has the capacity to develop and deploy educational and fun tools for young people.
